In 2001 werd SCM Group Belgium opgericht nadat SCM Group Italië 100% eigenaar werd van SCM Nohoma Groep, de samensmelting van het vroegere SCM Benelux filiaal en de Noord Hollandse Machinehandel “NOHOMA”. Gedurende de eerste jaren werd in samenwerking met SCM Group Nederland met een beperkt verkoopsteam gewerkt vanuit tijdelijke kantoren in Sint Niklaas en werd vooral geïnvesteerd in productkennis en technisch personeel. Einde 2005 werd een pand gekocht in de industriezone te Bornem waarin kantoren, showroom, demoruimte en een beperkte opslag ondergebracht kon worden. In juni 2006 werd het nieuwe pand officieel in gebruik genomen.
